The Greatest Composer

Leopold Mozart was visiting his son in Vienna when Joseph Haydn came to hear Wolfgang's new string quartets, the ones Mozart would dedicate to him. Afterwards Haydn told Leopold that his son was the greatest composer he knew, in person or by name. Leopold wrote the words down in a letter to his daughter. Haydn's line is adapted from that letter; the rest is imagined.
