Paganini

In the spring of 1828 Niccolò Paganini came to Vienna and the city lost its mind. Shops sold hats, gloves and pastries 'à la Paganini'. People whispered that he had sold his soul for his talent. Franz Schubert, who had almost no money, paid five gulden for a ticket, and dragged his friend Bauernfeld along. Schubert said he heard an angel sing. The words are imagined.
